Hello! Kevin and Victoria live in the beautiful state of Missouri and enjoy music just as much today as we did when we were kids. We both came from Christian homes where our families regularly sang and played music! Throughout the years, God has given us so many wonderful opportunities to minister together. As musicians, we put everything we have into making beautiful music for God and others. Together, we make a great team, supporting and strengthening each other along our musical journeys!

Through this music platform, Notes For Praise, we aim to uplift, encourage, and connect with people using music as a tool to glorify God and spread His message. Our desire is to create a space where worship and praise can touch hearts.

We’re also here to help musicians like you find inspiration, song recommendations, helpful music resources, new arrangements, and much more! Our prayer is that as you read, listen, and reflect, your spirit is filled with love, joy, peace, and a deeper connection to our great God!

Where Kevin Began...

Kevin launched a homemade bread business with his sister around the age of ten in order to help pay for their music lessons and instruments. He is a man of many musical talents! Piano became his first adventure, along with dulcimers, guitar, organ, violin, viola, handbells, handchimes, and voice.

Kevin’s musical training and experience has led him to perform in retirement ceremonies, weddings, funerals, fall festivals, virtual/studio teaching, special events, theatre, orchestras, symphonies, IU string academy, and various competitions. Also, Kevin was awarded pipe organ scholarships! He earned a degree in church music from Ambassador Baptist College, along with traveling the country and assisting in music ministry. As a former school teacher in Virginia, Kevin taught and led choirs, instrumentals, orchestra and band for fourteen years. He also served as a church music director for five years.

His true desire is to use his music and talents for the Lord and be a blessing and help
to others along the way. On a lighter note, Kevin could eat, sleep, and arrange music~it’s his passion and jam! He is excited that God is continuing to develop his musical journey!

Fun fact: Kevin has mumbled “keyboard” in his sleep!

Where Victoria Began...

Victoria’s mom introduced her to the piano at 6 years old! While teaching her piano, her mother also taught her beginner voice lessons. At age 10, Victoria received her first violin and began taking weekly lessons at Missouri Western State College. She then continued with violin as her main focus and placed 1st and 2nd in numerous state competitions. Victoria placed 3rd at Nationals in violin solo performance, which was an amazing experience for her!

Throughout the years, Victoria has been given the privilege to serve musically in several capacities, such as: churches, school competitions, group violin sessions, orchestras, graduations, summer camp, fall festivals, orchard skits, college, nursing home, virtual/studio teaching, a funeral, and weddings. These opportunities have nurtured her growth and love for the violin along with the people she has served beside. You will not find Victoria playing her violin without passion and joy every time!

Fun Fact: Victoria used to come home from school and sing opera in the backyard
with her mother’s high-heeled shoes on!

Where We Began...

Kevin and Victoria were married in June 2017 in Victoria’s home state of Missouri.
They served together in Virginia, using their God-given talents to minister in music. Although the Virginia life brought full and busy schedules, they shared many wonderful years of musical experiences.

Throughout their marriage, God has given Kevin and Victoria special opportunities
to sing and play in church ensembles, quartets, trios, violin/viola duets, choir, orchestras, and numerous weddings for friends and acquaintances. Also, through the years, they both worked hard to manage, build up, reorganize, and create a fresh, new church music system.

Kevin and Victoria’s vision is to begin creating and arranging beautiful pieces of music for Christian ministries or use in church, whether for solos, duets, or groups. They believe there is a need for more variety in new arrangements for instrumentalists.

Fun Fact: Kevin and Victoria have enjoyed attending many wonderful concerts and plays in Washington D.C., Quantico, Kennedy Center, 8th & I Marine Barracks, Ford’s Theatre, Ozark/Branson, MO, and more!
